Worth every penny. We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains, a dessert to share and 1 Canadian club.
The customer service from the waitress we had was friendly and attentive.
The food was delicious couldn't fault any of our dishes, the oysters were fresh down to the dessert.
Definitely give this place a try 🙏🏾

We recently celebrated our wedding at Rothwell’s, and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional. The team was so friendly, attentive and made us feel truly special throughout the day. The ambience of the venue was perfect for our celebration and created such a beautiful atmosphere for us and our guests.
From the planning stage through to the day itself, everything was incredibly smooth. The team was very easy to work with and always helpful, especially when it came to coordinating timings and setup.
We are so grateful to the Rothwell’s team for helping make our day so memorable. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a stunning venue with outstanding service.

I had a great experience at this steak restaurant located in a prime area. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed, perfect for a night out.
The staff were lovely, welcoming, attentive, and made us feel right at home.
While waiting for our table, we enjoyed the beautiful bar area, which was a great touch.
The portions were generous, and the food was well-prepared and satisfying. They also offer a good variety of wines and drinks to pair with your meal.
Definitely a place I’d return to and recommend!

Highly recommend Rothwell's for your next wedding event. The private space has its own bar and is spacious with a quaint but modern atmosphere. The exposed sandstone and fairy lights made for great photos I cannot wait to see the professional pics. The food was delicious that our guests raved about it.
The staff were amazingly accommodating with special dietary requirements and were close on hand to keep things running smoothly.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be visiting again for dinner.

We pooped into the bar for a bite to eat. Service is exceptional, every staff member is well presented, courteous, pleasant and willing to meet your needs. We had the wagyu burgers and fries, hands down best burger ever! Beautiful space, reminded me of being in Buenos Aires. Thank you for having us, can’t wait to go back.

We held a private business dinner at Rothwell's recently and were delighted with the incredible food and wine menu, the ambiance in the private room.. but most of all - the care and attention to detail from the fantastic staff. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening, Rothwell's team!

We booked Rothwell's for our EOFY celebration and it was amazing.
During the initial booking and organising, Laura and Jaime, the General and Event Managers were responsive and accommodating and made everything easier.
On the night, the wait staff were warm, personable, attentive, and quick!
We had selected drinks on consumption, but we hadn't asked for cocktails to be served. Rothwell's staff went the extra mile to arrange, at the last second, with no notice, as the function had commenced, to have two cocktails, served. It was a life saver, as it made the night flow smoother (no one had to run upstairs to the bar for cocktails) and everyone loved the drinks.
I have had only happy and positive feedback since Friday night -
Thank you all, again.

We had our wedding reception here in the downstairs private dining and we cannot thank Rothwell’s enough for our experience. The space is exactly what we wanted for our 24 guests.
The food and drinks were delicious, it was a beautiful, moody atmosphere and the service was 10/10. Organising this event from start to finish was such a pleasure and the Rothwell’s team were more than accommodating and their communication was wonderful. I would recommend them for any type of event and we cannot wait to go back and celebrate our first anniversary.

Craving red meat, we headed into Rothwell’s Bar & Grill in Brisbane’s CBD for a proper steak night and the food and drinks absolutely delivered 🥩🍷
We kicked things off with a Negroni, perfectly balanced with that classic bitter orange edge, smooth gin base, and just the right dilution. A great opener while working through one of the most extensive wine lists in Brisbane. With help from the sommelier, we chose the 2024 Mayer ‘Close Planted’ Pinot Noir from the Yarra Valley. A beautifully expressive wine showing wild strawberry and red cherry upfront, layered with rose petal aromatics and a savoury forest floor note. Fine, chalky tannins and bright acidity made it an ideal pairing across the meal, especially with the duck and steak.
For entrée, the duck salad was a standout. The duck was cooked perfectly, still pink through the centre with well rendered, crisp skin. The richness was balanced by cherries and blackberries that added both sweetness and acidity, while the parfait brought a deeper, more indulgent layer of flavour. Finished with small croutons for texture, it was a well composed and thoughtful dish.
Mains was all about the 400g grass fed rib eye. Cooked exactly as requested, nicely rested, and packed with flavour. Served with onion rings, celeriac remoulade, and a selection of mustards which added a nice element of customisation and complemented the beef really well without overpowering it.
Sides held their own. The roasted baby carrots with honey, thyme, and fried shallots were nicely cooked with good texture, though slightly on the sweeter side from the honey. The fried Brussels sprouts with bacon and sherry vinegar were a highlight, rich, crispy, and balanced with that sharp acidity cutting through the fat.
To finish, the Eton mess with berries, meringue, and vanilla ice cream. Fresh and light in concept, though there was a flavour in the meringue or cream that didn’t quite land for me. Still enjoyable, just not at the same level as the savoury courses.
